The Ship Inn is owned and operated by S. J. Cruickshank Limited.

Our Managing Director Simon Cruickshank has many years experience in the Licensed trade in Stonehaven, having previously owned both the Station Hotel and the Hook & Eye Bar.

The Ship Inn was built in 1771 and is one of the oldest inns in the area We have been running this since May 2004.

In March 2005, the Inn's bedrooms were substantially upgraded and modernised - the two bedrooms that formerly shared a bathroom were made en-suite, and a luxurious sixth bedroom with four-poster bed was added.

In 2009 we took over the property next door, and added 5 new modern bedrooms and extended the restaurant, adding new windows to provide stunning views while you eat.

The restaurant offers a varied selection of quality food and the real ale and large selection of malt whiskies and the cosy atmosphere combine to make this a pleasant place to visit.
