The Ship Inn, which sits on the edge of historic Stonehaven harbour, is one of the oldest inns along the Aberdeenshire coast. Although the property is steeped in history, we keep one eye on the future, regularly investing in the hotel, restaurant and bar to ensure we are offering the best possible guest experience.

Owned and operated by S. J. Cruickshank Limited, The Ship Inn has been part of this small independent firm for two decades. Proprietor Simon Cruickshank has a long-running career in the hospitality and licensed trade and has operated venues in Stonehaven since 1988.

Several team members at The Ship Inn have worked alongside Simon since he took the helm of The Ship Inn and share his belief that the venue should be a warm and welcoming place for all, whether you are a guest from a far-flung destination or a local resident who lives down the road.
